How Custom Porcelain Printing Works

We permanently fuse your artwork into porcelain using high-temperature kiln firing.

This is not surface printing. The image becomes part of the porcelain itself — meaning it will not fade, peel, or wash off over time.

The Porcelain Printing Process

We don’t use surface inks or temporary printing methods. Our process permanently fuses your artwork into the porcelain using high-temperature kiln firing.

Step 1: Send Your Artwork

Provide your photo, logo, or design. We prepare it specifically for porcelain printing to ensure the best result.

Step 2: Porcelain Preparation

We use high-quality porcelain selected for durability, food safety, and kiln performance.

Step 3: Ceramic Printing

Your design is printed using ceramic-based toners designed to bond with the glaze during firing.

Step 4: Kiln Firing

The piece is fired at high temperature, permanently fusing the artwork into the porcelain surface.

Step 5: Permanent Finish

The final product is durable, food-safe, and will not fade, peel, or wash off over time.

Why Our Porcelain Printing Is Different

Most custom printing methods apply ink to the surface of a product. Over time, those prints can fade, scratch, or wash away.

Our process is different. We use high-temperature kiln firing to permanently fuse the artwork into the porcelain itself.

  • No fading over time
  • No peeling or surface wear
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Food-safe materials
  • Permanent, kiln-fired finish

This is real kiln-fired production. The image above shows a fully loaded kiln during firing. Every piece we produce goes through this process to ensure durability and long-term performance.

From Artwork to Finished Porcelain

We begin by taking your image, logo, or design and carefully preparing it for porcelain printing. Using our experience and proprietary setup, we determine which of our printing lines will best capture the full range of colours in your artwork.

Each project is matched to a specific printing configuration designed to achieve the strongest possible colour reproduction on porcelain.

Once selected, our specialized and retrofitted ceramic printers produce a custom decal film. This is not standard ink printing — it is a ceramic-based process designed specifically for kiln-fired results.

We then prepare the film using a natural adhesive (Arabic gum), giving it a light tack — similar to a post-it note — so it can be carefully positioned onto the porcelain surface.

Each piece is applied by hand by our production team. This allows for precise placement on plates, mugs, tiles, and other porcelain items, adding a true handcrafted element to the process.

The decorated piece is then placed into one of our kilns and fired at high temperatures, typically ranging from 1600°F to over 2000°F.

During this firing process, the artwork fuses into the glaze of the porcelain itself.

The final result is a full-colour, food-safe image that is permanently embedded into the surface — highly durable and resistant to fading, peeling, or wear.

We do not use lead or cadmium-based pigments. Our process is designed to meet modern food-safety standards while still achieving strong, vibrant colour results.
